Character Description and History:

Haik is 5'11 1/2". That half inch is a complete annoyance with him, but because he feels some need to be honest as much as possible he can never lie and say he is 6'. He is fairly slender with strong legs and lanky arms. Haik normally dresses in a simple t-shirt and jeans, but has been known to throw in some more exotic clothes such as a fake fur coat, top hat, or even a cape. His reasoning for the random change in wardrobe according to him is boredom and a need to change the pace.

Haik is the oldest of 14 children and he grew up in what many refer to as a broken home. The home in question was a somewhat sloppily built house. It appeared as if the whole thing was just thrown together as the family grew. It was in the middle of the forest slightly isolated. His mother was emotionally distant because of a group of men targeting her while she was in town and subsequently raping her. She only came out of her shell to yell. His father, on the other hand, was the son of a military man and it showed. He was rarely at home, but when he was he showed only contempt for most of the children, and seemed to take a perverse pleasure out of putting Haik down. Haik would later find out that he was the product of his mother's tragedy and that's why his father always seemed so upset with him.

This gave Haik a bit of an inferiority complex, but at some point he decided to just be happy and in his mind that was that. After that point he was a changed person who seemed to be in a constant state of happiness as well as having spontaneous outbursts of various accents and singing. He still had some issues but they were so suppressed they only really existed in his subconscious. They did prevent him from having any lasting friendships.

Haik was kicked out of the house after one of many fights with his dad only this fight ended in blows. Haik was just as stubborn as his father and refused to apologize or try to work things out. He left and in the process left behind most of the negative ideas presented in his childhood.

While Haik was traveling he started doing a lot of inward thinking. He came to a lot of realizations about himself and his family. He continued wandering in the forests and mountains of his secluded part of the world. He came upon a town and sought employment there. The lady at the bar told him that they couldn't afford to pay any of their current employees because the town was being harassed by a group of thugs who enjoyed causing mayhem for the sake of mayhem. Haik recalled some of his experiences at home and the random hatred and chaos his father spread. This inspired Haik and he promised the bartender he would take care of the thugs.

Haik spent the next two days working on a plan to take of the thugs and when the third day came the thugs showed up. Haik decided to throw out all the plans he made and just confront the thugs head on. As they were walking up to the bar Haik cut in front of them and told them to leave. The group of roughly twelve laughed and asked him what he was going to do if they didn't. Haik replied that he'd make them. This caused another round of laughter and the group circled around him. Haik laughed back at them and asked, "Does it really take a dozen of you to take on one person who decided not to be subservient?" The bulky leader stepped forward looking confused. "Subservient means beneath...kinda like follower," Haik explained. The bulky man's face turned deep red and he bellowed that he'd regret his fancy talk. The man charged forward, but Haik sidestepped and pushed him to the ground. This only enraged the man more and he got back up to charge again, but before he did Haik gave him a solid kick that knocked the man unconscious. The rest of the thugs charged in at this point and started beating on Haik. The townsfolk were inspired by Haik and came out to stick up for him. The thugs were chased off and the town's problem was dealt with.

The townsfolk offered Haik the position of sheriff, but Haik declined and left as soon as his wounds were healed. He had made some friends in the town, but because of his inability to maintain friendships when he left he forgot about them. He now had a mission and that was to help those who weren't strong enough to help themselves. His experiences as a child and the incident at the town gave him focus for his mission. So he continued from town to town helping wherever he could. After traveling for two years, Haik found himself in New Helic City. He ended up staying with an eccentric Zoid mechanic named Melvin. Melvin had a tendency to act crazy in a rather violent manner. Melvin was always chasing people with wrenches, lasers, and basically whatever. There was one time in particular where Melvin tried to scare someone with toilet paper. Haik and Melvin became friends quickly doing almost everything together. When Haik left for new horizons Melvin gave his friend of roughly a year an extravagant gift. He gave Haik a Gustav with two Zoids on it. One was a Warshark and the other was a Bear Fighter. Haik said that he couldn't accept the gift, but Melvin kept insisting. Eventually, Melvin broke down and started his traditional threatening. After a wrestling match Haik lost he took the Zoids. His life as a pilot had started, but his overall mission didn't change.
