Krystoph Aloysius Vilnen is a not so average citizen of the Continent of Delphoi. Given his extravagant last name, one might surmise that he comes from some form of noble family. One would be close but not correct, as Krys comes from a long line of successful mercantile men, a family which has made its name as traders and manufacturers for the Zoids Battle Commission and those who came before them, always remaining loyal to the Delphoi rulers in times of war and peace. As the son of Aloysius Victor Vilnen, current president of the Vilnen Manufacturing Firm, Krys is the next in the line of succession to take over the company from his father, as did his father assume control from Krys’ grandfather, and so forth. The VMF specializes in subsidiary Zoids manufacture, specializing in private contracts and orders asked of it by the ZBC. Of course, the first rule of business is diversification, and the VMF follows such rules and is not simply a Zoid manufacturer. It began with Krys’ great-grandfather taking lessons from the other major firms existing on Zi at the time, and the VMF branched out into developing housing, hiring out engineers to other small time contractors, industrial machinery manufacture, and even divisions moving on down to public transportation, waste management and public works. The VMF is not simply a military manufacturer, rather it is a multi-sectional corporation that caters to all levels of society. This has led to great popularity in the product, though the VMF has always made sure not to step on the toes of other manufacturing giants, instead looking to work together with them for the betterment of business ties.

For himself, not unlike other sons of giant company heads, is more busy focusing on the enjoyment of life and the betterment of public image. The current profit ratios do not concern so much as the view the public holds of him and his (soon to be) company. As such, in beginning work within the VMF Krys heads up the public relations department and is slowly becoming a more visible public figure to the people of the ZBC. Charity work, ground breakings and public dedications are amongst his field of work as he is groomed by his father to eventually become the successor to the long line of Vilnens before him. Such work is leading to a well perceived public image of the Vilnen family as being a figurehead for the betterment of the ZBC lands and securing their interests at home and abroad.

Being born to such a silver spoon life did have the effect of Krys liking some of the finer things in life, but to his credit he works to keep such affairs private. His father’s words of public image before private had stuck with him, and he works hard to shed the rich boy image that may be stereotypically forced upon him. To such an extent, he joined the ranks of Zoids Warriors to promote a blue collar image, that he was not just content to sit back and receive the money his company makes but rather could also work and make an honest buck like everyone else.

Growing up with money has the benefit of having access to proper eating, fitness instructors and combat teachers, and nutritionists and Krys’ physique shows it. He stands 6’2, with a fairly slim athlete’s build, favouring form and agility over brawn and stockiness. He keeps his brown hair cropped short and neat for public appearances sake, and his pale green eyes, while seemingly wizened for his age, also hold a twinkle of youthful mischief. Krys favours many forms of sport, and has been known to partake of activities ranging from jogging on down to base jumping and surfing. As much as his public image shines through, he still can tend to be a millionaire playboy, and his new affinity for Zoid battles are just an extension of wanting to push the envelope on sport. He is generally upbeat, if a bit quirky sometimes. He likes to talk, but usually not much about himself and tends to stick to topics ranging from the state of the world on down to favourite restaurants or even which type of board wax is his favourite. At heart though, Krys knows there is a big duty waiting for him the near future, and before that time comes and his freedom comes to a halt he wants to have a positive effect on the ZBC and the rest of Zi, to do something memorable and change society for the better.
