Character Description and History:

Description-

Xel stands about 6 feet tall, his long black ponytail sprinkled with streaks of gray and sliver. His left eye is a haunting shade of ice blue, still very much full of life and cunning, despite his age. His right eye is also blue, glowing blue, a cybernetic replacement for the original, the grisly burn scar of that battle barely a shadow around the eye socket. Small lines of circuitry can be seen faintly under the scarred skin of that eye, and trailing up to his right temple, where a tiny jack can be seen, hidden just inside the silvery hair of his sideburns. Xel's body is thin and lean, the lightly muscled physique of an athlete or solider. His left knee is encased in a framework of metal, a brace designed to allow his shattered knee to function at least as well as a normal person. He tends to dress in dark colors, rarely bothering with the gaudy outfits and battle dress of this 'modern' breed of zoid warrior.

History- Xel doesn't care to talk about his history much, He was born the son of a wealthy trading and shipping magnate, and as such never wanted for money. His mother died when he was young of a combination of a weak immune system and a particularly potent flu bug that year, which caused Xel's father to become highly introverted and focus almost entirely on his work. The relationship between Xel and his father deteriorated rapidly, and upon Xel's sixteenth birthday, he stole several thousand from his fathers safe, and ran away from home.

Those several thousand got Xel half way accross Zi, to the eastern continent, where he drifted aimlessly between the many islands of Loremere. There he eventually became involved with an ECA unit running espionage operations on the nearby ZBC forces. -THIS SECTION OF THE REPORT CONTAINS SENSITIVE INFORMATION ABOUT CLASSIFIED ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN BY THE ZBC AND THE ECA, AND HAS BEEN CENSORED-

Upon his release from the ECA armed forces, Xel, now 23, immediately signed up with the ZBC as a registered zoid pilot, signing up with his Shadowfox. During his time as a zoid pilot Xel drifts from team to team, in his continual wanderlust, rarely staying with a single team for more than a month. This ended abruptly when he encountered a young zoid warrior named Sakuya Kuabata, a gunbunny pilot of significant skill, attached to an otherwise unimpressive team known as Blitzkrieg. Xel chose to stay with the team, granting the mostly blaster team some much needed stealth and mobility. This of course was the least concern on Xel's mind, he was madly smitten with the beautiful pilot.

Over the next 5 years, the pair, working in unison, greatly elevated Blitzkrieg's standings in the ranks. Blitzkreig was even under consideration for the royal cup, untill tragedy befell them all. In a cowardly act, the Backdraft group interrupted in on their battle, its lead pilot wielding a mighty berserk fury. When the dust settled, the Blitzkrieg team was soundly defeated, no less than 3 of it's zoids had been killed, along with there prize Gunbunny pilot, Sakuya Kuabata.

With the loss of his lover, Xel quietly left what remained of Blitzkrieg, and when it came time for his ZBC battling license to be renewed, he did not show up to the trials...

The zoid warrior known as Xel Isis would not be seen again for nearly 30 years.
